A Life Spent
Painting

I’ve held a lifelong love for creative expression, but for a chapter, life’s primary focus was raising my three sons and managing a busy household. As my children have grown, stepping back into the studio full time has allowed me to channel years of keen observation, color exploration, and creative dedication into a focused, professional art practice.

Working from my home studio in Michigan, I am a contemporary impressionist painter specializing in original heavy body acrylic and watercolor paintings. My portfolio ranges from serene Michigan landscapes, ambient water reflections, and lush woodland paths to expressive, character-filled portraits of wildlife and pastoral animals.

My creative process is deeply intuitive and tactile. Working primarily on gallery-wrapped canvas, I build dynamic, painterly surfaces using bold flat brushes and expressive palette wedges over luminous underpaintings of warm terracotta, soft violet, and magenta. These rich layers peek through loose brushwork, capturing the quiet movement of water, the warmth of shifting sunlight, and the subtle textures of nature.

Fine art has a unique ability to shape how a room feels, bringing a sense of calm, connection, and elevated warmth into daily living spaces. Whether it is a quiet horizon, a luminous shoreline reflection, or a soulful animal portrait, every piece is created to evoke a gentle memory and bring beauty into your home.

Thank you for visiting my online gallery and supporting independent art. It is a true joy to share my work with you.
